Our Pledge
At Orthotix, we are proud to have signed The Cardiff Commitment, a city-wide initiative led by Cardiff Council that unites public, private, and third-sector organisations in supporting children and young people in the city. This pledge reflects our belief that business success should create opportunities and meaningful outcomes for our communities.
The Cardiff Commitment aims to ensure that all young people in Cardiff have access to the support, experiences, and connections they need to transition successfully from education into the world of work. By signing this pledge, we commit to working collaboratively with schools, youth support services, and employers to help young people raise their aspirations, build confidence, and access employment-related opportunities.
Our support for the Cardiff Commitment includes team participation in:
- Career talks and employer engagement events
- Workplace visits and structured work experience placements
- Interview and employability skills workshops in local schools
- Community outreach and mentoring activities
This activity mirrors the NHS Social Value Model focus on delivering social, economic and community benefits through supply-chain engagement, strengthening local skills, reducing inequalities, and improving long-term outcomes for future generations while supporting broader health determinants.
By embedding these commitments into how we operate, we not only support young people into meaningful careers but also play our part in building a healthier, more resilient community for all.
