The Penguin Plantarflexion AFO (Standard) is a two shell dynamic orthosis available in a standard design. Made from dual density materials. The soft internal lining extends from the lower calf, encompassing the entire plantar surface of the foot whilst the rigid external shell serves to reinforce the alignment applied by the orthosis.

The Penguin Plantarflexion AFO (Standard) is a lightweight and low-profile ankle-foot orthosis designed to enhance foot clearance during the swing phase while providing control over plantarflexion and dorsiflexion. Ideal for individuals requiring greater stance stability and improved gait alignment, this AFO offers a comfortable and functional solution for foot drop and other lower limb conditions.

With a supramalleolar containment design and dorsal midfoot enclosure, the Penguin AFO enhances mediolateral stability while maintaining soft pressure relief against the skin. The Velcro® D-loop system ensures a secure yet adjustable fit, making it easy to use for everyday activities.

Dorsiflexion weakness in swing phase, mild hyperextension of the knee, coronal instabilities, and control for tight posterior chain plantarflexion from cerebral palsy, neurological conditions, tight musculature, and tendon shortening. Improves gait, balance and co-ordination. Can be used for correctable toe walking gait.
