Indicated for dorsiflexion assistance in suitable presentations of foot drop, including flaccid foot drop and swing-phase dorsiflexion weakness.

May also be considered for selected presentations involving moderate plantarflexion tone or equinus where the device provides appropriate control. Where spasticity, fixed deformity, significant ankle instability or complex knee involvement is present, professional assessment is recommended before use.

Can the footplate be trimmed?
Yes. The full-length footplate is designed to be trimmed where required to suit appropriate footwear.

Does it have a heel strap?
An optional heel-retaining strap can be used where additional heel fixation is required.

Do I need a left or right version?
Yes. Select the version corresponding to the affected foot.

Can it be worn inside normal footwear?
It is designed for use inside suitable supportive footwear. The shoe must have enough internal space to accommodate the AFO without excessive pressure or rubbing.

Is it suitable for severe spasticity or significant ankle instability?
Not necessarily. More complex foot drop, substantial spasticity, fixed deformity or significant instability may require a different orthosis and professional assessment.
