Product Description

The Post-Op Toe Weight Bearing Shoe is a specialist post-operative shoe designed to reduce pressure beneath the heel by shifting weight towards the midfoot and forefoot during walking.
Its wedged sole profile encourages weight bearing further forward on the foot, making it suitable where heel offloading has been recommended following surgery, injury or for selected heel wounds or ulceration.
The closed-toe upper provides additional protection during recovery, while an adjustable dorsal flap allows the fit to accommodate postoperative dressings or changes in foot volume. A retaining ankle strap helps minimise heel movement within the shoe.
The shoe is lightweight, bilateral and available in five sizes. It is intended as specialist temporary footwear and should be used according to clinical advice where heel offloading is required.
The altered sole profile changes normal walking mechanics. Extra care should be taken when walking, particularly during initial use.
