Who is the Rigid Functional Knee Brace suitable for?
It is designed for people requiring structured knee support following ligament injury, knee instability or during rehabilitation, including injuries involving the ACL, PCL, MCL or LCL.

How do the adjustable hinges work?
The tool-less hinges use interchangeable wedges to limit knee flexion and extension. This allows the permitted range of movement to be adjusted where controlled knee motion is required.

Can I change the hinge settings myself?
If a specific range of motion has been prescribed following surgery or a significant injury, do not alter that setting unless advised by the healthcare professional managing your rehabilitation.

How should the brace fit?
The brace should sit securely around the thigh and calf with the hinges correctly positioned alongside the knee. It should remain stable during movement without causing pain, numbness, tingling or excessive pressure. Orthotix Healthcare

Do I choose Left or Right?
Choose the version corresponding to the knee requiring support: Left for the left knee and Right for the right knee.

Will the brace stay in position during movement?
The adjustable straps and anti-slip silicone detailing are designed to help reduce movement of the brace. Correct sizing and positioning are important for achieving a secure fit.

Can it be worn under clothing?
Its relatively low-profile frame may fit beneath loose-fitting trousers, although it is a structured functional brace and will be bulkier than a simple knee sleeve.

Can I use the brace for sport?

Does a functional knee brace heal a torn ligament?
