What is the difference between Firm Density and Mid Density?
The Firm Density version is less compressible and provides a more resistant, structured heel raise. The Mid Density version provides a softer level of cushioning and may feel more forgiving beneath the heel.

How much height does the Firm Density Heel Elevator provide?
It provides approximately 15 mm, 12 mm, 9 mm, 6 mm and 3 mm of elevation depending on how many layers remain.

Should I start at the full 15 mm height?
Not normally unless that height has been professionally assessed or prescribed. More height is not automatically better, and excessive elevation may cause heel slippage, forefoot pressure or instability.

Can firm heel lifts help Achilles tendon pain?
Heel lifts may temporarily alter ankle position and reduce the amount of dorsiflexion required during walking, which can make activity more comfortable for some people with Achilles symptoms. They should generally support rather than replace rehabilitation.

Can they be used for leg-length discrepancy?
Yes, where a genuine discrepancy has been assessed. The amount and side of correction should ideally be professionally determined rather than estimated.

Should I use them in both shoes?
For Achilles symptoms or general heel elevation, matching lifts are commonly used in both shoes. Single-sided use is more appropriate where a measured leg-length discrepancy has been identified.

Will they fit any shoe?
No. The footwear needs sufficient internal depth to accommodate the lift while keeping the heel securely contained.

Can I put a removed layer back on?
The layers are intended to be permanently peeled away to reduce the height. Once removed, they may not reattach securely.
