Five Adjustable Heights – Peel-away construction provides approximately 3 mm, 6 mm, 9 mm, 12 mm or 15 mm of heel elevation.

Mid-Density EVA – Provides controlled elevation with cushioning beneath the heel.

Peel-Away Adjustment – Layers can be progressively removed to reduce the height in 3 mm stages.

Non-Slip Top Cover – Designed to help minimise movement of the heel lift inside suitable footwear.

Adhesive Layered Construction – Helps keep the remaining layers securely assembled after adjustment.

What does a heel lift do?
A heel lift raises the heel inside the shoe by a controlled amount. This can alter ankle position and loading through the heel, calf and Achilles tendon, provide additional cushioning and compensate for certain measured leg-length differences.

How much height does the 5 Layer Heel Elevator provide?
The five peel-away stages provide approximately 15 mm, 12 mm, 9 mm, 6 mm and 3 mm of elevation. There is no single correct height for everyone, so use only the amount required for the intended purpose. Orthotix Healthcare

Are heel lifts useful for Achilles tendon pain?
They may temporarily reduce the amount of ankle dorsiflexion required during walking and can make activity more comfortable for some people with Achilles tendinopathy. They should generally support, rather than replace, progressive rehabilitation. Orthotix Healthcare

Should I wear heel lifts in both shoes?
For Achilles symptoms or general heel elevation, equal lifts are commonly worn in both shoes. Single-sided use is more appropriate where a genuine leg-length discrepancy has been assessed and unilateral correction has been recommended. Orthotix Healthcare

Can heel lifts help with leg-length discrepancy?
A heel lift can compensate for some measured differences in leg length while it is being worn. A suspected discrepancy should ideally be assessed before deciding the amount and side of correction. Orthotix Healthcare

Can heel lifts help plantar fasciitis?
They may help some people by altering heel position, cushioning the rearfoot and changing loading through the calf–Achilles and plantar structures. They are one possible supportive option rather than a cure for plantar fasciitis. Orthotix Healthcare

Will the heel lifts fit any shoe?
Not necessarily. The footwear needs sufficient depth to accommodate the lift while keeping the heel securely contained. A lift that is too high for the shoe can cause heel slippage or instability.

Can I put a removed layer back on?
The layers are intended to be peeled away to permanently reduce the height. Once removed, a layer may not reattach securely, so confirm the intended adjustment before removing it. Orthotix Healthcare
