Product Description

The Proximal Finger Splint is a lightweight, rigid support designed to immobilise the proximal joint (the larger joint near the base of the finger). Made from rigid thermoplastic, the splint features an extended dorsal design that runs along the top of the finger towards the knuckles, offering targeted stability and preventing the joint from bending. An aerated structure ensures breathability and comfort during wear, helping to reduce moisture build-up. Its bilateral design allows it to be used on any finger or thumb, on either hand. Supplied in packs of 10, this splint is ideal for clinics and rehabilitation centres.

Advisory Notice: When fitting it is recommended to choose a size that leaves approximately 1cm of space between the end of the orthosis & the foot.

Indications for Use

Post operative and post trauma. Immobilisation for Boutonniere deformities, crooked finger, fractures, mallet finger, swan neck deformities, trigger finger, generalised interphalangeal arthritis, and hypermobility conditions such as Ehlers Danlos syndrome.
