Who is the 3-TEX® Wraparound Knee Support with Stays suitable for?
It is designed for people requiring adjustable compression with mild side-to-side knee reinforcement during everyday or selected physical activity.

What do the side stays do?
Flexible spiral stays sit on either side of the knee and provide additional medial and lateral reinforcement without the rigidity of a hinged brace.

How is this different from a normal knee sleeve?
A basic sleeve mainly provides compression. This support additionally uses flexible side stays, adjustable straps and a patella pad for a more structured level of support.

How is it different from a hinged knee brace?
The stays are flexible rather than rigid hinged joints. A hinged brace provides a higher level of structural medial and lateral stability and may be more appropriate for more significant instability.

What does the open-patella design do?
The kneecap remains open while a surrounding patella pad provides support and helps position the brace.

Is it really one size?
Yes. The brace is supplied in a universal adjustable size. The wraparound construction and straps allow the fit to be adapted around different leg shapes.

Will it stay in place?
Internal silicone grip points are designed to help reduce migration, although correct positioning and even strap adjustment remain important.

Can it be worn on either knee?
Yes. The wraparound construction is suitable for use on either knee.

How tight should I make the straps?
They should hold the support securely without causing pain, numbness, tingling or excessive pressure. More compression does not necessarily provide better support.
