Who is the 3-TEX® Polycentric Wraparound Knee Brace suitable for?
It is designed for people requiring moderate knee support, including selected ligament injuries, mild mediolateral instability, joint pain and rehabilitation following knee surgery.

How is this different from a normal knee sleeve?
A standard sleeve mainly provides compression. This brace also incorporates polycentric side joints to provide additional medial and lateral stability.

How is it different from a ROM knee brace?
This brace provides stability while allowing relatively free knee bending and straightening. A ROM brace additionally allows flexion and extension to be deliberately restricted during specialist rehabilitation.

What do the polycentric joints do?
The side joints provide structured medial and lateral reinforcement while moving with the knee during flexion and extension.

Is the brace easy to put on?
Yes. The wraparound design opens around the leg rather than having to be pulled over the foot, which may make fitting easier for people with reduced mobility or an unusual leg shape.

What does the open-patella design do?
The centre of the kneecap remains open while a surrounding patella pad provides support and helps position the brace.

Will it stay in position?
Internal silicone grip points and the adjustable fastening system are designed to help reduce migration, although correct sizing and fitting remain important.

Can it be worn on either knee?
Yes. The design is bilateral and can be worn on the left or right knee.

Can I use it during sport?
It may be suitable during selected sporting activity where additional compression and moderate knee stability are required. The appropriate level of support depends on the injury and stage of rehabilitation.

How tight should it feel?
It should feel securely supportive without causing pain, numbness, tingling or excessive pressure. More compression does not necessarily provide greater stability.
