The 3 Panel Knee Immobiliser is a lightweight knee orthosis designed to restrict knee movement and maintain the joint in an extended position during selected post-operative and post-injury situations.
Its three-panel construction allows the width of the brace to be adapted by repositioning the side panels, helping the immobiliser fit a broader range of thigh and calf shapes.
Medial, lateral and posterior reinforcing stays provide structured support around the knee. The posterior steels are malleable and may be carefully shaped where a small amount of knee flexion has been clinically prescribed.
The knee should be positioned so that the kneecap remains visible through the front aperture, while the adjustable straps secure the brace around the thigh, knee and lower leg.
Breathable foam-laminate construction keeps the brace relatively lightweight during wear.
The 3 Panel Knee Immobiliser is intended for post-traumatic knee management, post-operative rehabilitation and situations where maintenance of knee extension is required.
It may also be used following cast removal where continued knee stabilisation has been recommended.
This is an immobilisation device rather than a general-purpose knee support. Following surgery or significant injury, the appropriate brace length, fitting and permitted knee movement should follow the advice of the treating healthcare professional.
Available in six lengths from 14" to 24".
