No. This is a soft padded support without hinges or side stays. A paediatric stabilising or hinged knee brace is more appropriate where medial or lateral knee stability is required.

How is this different from the Paediatric Stabilising Knee Brace?
The Padded Knee Brace focuses on cushioning and compression. The Stabilising Knee Brace additionally includes flexible spiral side stays for mild medial and lateral stability.

How is it different from the Paediatric Hinged Knee Brace?
The Hinged Knee Brace uses polycentric side joints for more structured knee stability. The Padded Knee Brace remains soft and flexible and is primarily intended for cushioning and compression.

Can it be used after surgery?
The manufacturer includes selected post-operative treatment among the indications. Use and wear time should follow the guidance of the child’s healthcare professional.

Can it be worn during physical activity?
It may be suitable during appropriate activity where flexible compression and protection from minor knocks are required. It does not provide substantial ligament stability.

Can it be worn on either knee?
Yes. The brace is bilateral.

How do I choose the correct size?
Measure around the centre of the kneecap. Size 1 covers 20–26 cm and Size 2 covers 26–32 cm.

Is age alone enough to choose the size?
No. The age ranges are a guide only. Use the knee circumference measurement to confirm the correct size.
