How does the brace support the kneecap?

Does the brace permanently correct patella alignment?
No. It provides external mechanical support around the patella while the brace is being worn.

Can it be used after patella surgery?
The manufacturer includes use following selected lateral retinaculum surgery among the indications. Fitting and wear time should follow the child’s treating clinical team.

The Stabilising Knee Brace mainly provides mild medial and lateral knee support. This Patella Alignment Brace additionally uses a lateral patella pad and traction straps to provide more targeted directional support around the kneecap.

How is it different from the Paediatric Hinged Knee Brace?
The Hinged Knee Brace uses polycentric joints for more structured side-to-side stability. This brace uses flexible stays and focuses more specifically on directional patella support.

Can it be worn on either knee?
Yes. The design is bilateral.

How do I choose the correct size?
Measure around the centre of the kneecap. Size 1 covers 20–26 cm and Size 2 covers 26–32 cm.

Is age alone enough to choose the size?
No. The age ranges are a guide only; use the knee circumference measurement to confirm the correct size.
